Donkeys

Millions of donkeys are slaughtered annually, due to their skins, in order to meet the growing demand for them to use as a component in traditional Chinese medicine. Estimates issued by a British organization for the protection of donkeys indicate that about 4.8 million donkeys per year are needed to meet the demand for traditional Chinese medicine based on “gelatin” in their skins, which is called “Ijiao”. # Donkeys # animals # extinction
